6 Quick and Easy Holiday Decorating Ideas
The holidays are a busy time, and we could all use some holiday decorating ideas that fit in with our already overloaded schedules. If you’ve ever found yourself rushing around trying to decorate your home perfectly (and honestly, who hasn’t?) then you know how important it is to figure out simple ways to create magical spaces. And as one of New York’s leading floral decorators, we’ve definitely got a few tricks up our sleeves when it comes to holiday decorating.
When it comes to Christmas decorating ideas, indoor and outdoor spaces don’t need to require a big investment of time or money. And to help you spend your energy where it really counts, we’re sharing six of our favorite holiday decorating tips for quickly bringing the spirit of the holiday to any space.
1. Embrace seasonal blooms.
Decorate with the top Christmas flowers for an instant boost of holiday cheer. Bringing poinsettias, amaryllis, white and red roses, white lilies, and of course, Christmas trees and wreaths into your space will instantly help you embrace a seasonal look and serve as the perfect quick decorating fix for office spaces and small apartments.
2. Choose a color theme.
Create cohesion with your holiday decorating by sticking to a color theme. Green and red are an obvious choice, but we also love gold, silver, and/or white for this purpose. If you’re hosting a holiday party at home, extend your color theme to your tablescape with flowers, candles, and a table runner that all match your holiday palette.
3. Decorate with candy. We love candy for Christmas.
Fill glass bowls with candy canes, chocolates, or other seasonal candies for festive centerpieces that your guests (and you!) can enjoy.
4. Tie ribbons to chairs.
For a quick touch of class, secure red or green ribbons or bows to the backs of chairs at your holiday dining table. You can also use ribbons to create garland for your hearth and/or tree.
5. Enhance you festive flower arrangements.
We love to bring even more holiday joy to holiday florals with the addition of pine cones and fir sprigs spread around the vase. (As for those florals themselves, check out our seasonal flower centerpieces, including poinsettia plant floral arrangements.
6. All that glitters.
You can’t go wrong with glitter during the holidays. Accentuate your tree with glittery garland and include colorful glass balls on your table for a glittering centerpiece. A little (or a lot) of sparkle can be just the touch you need.
